back in 1943…

A Swiss chemist named Albert Hofmann would experience what is known as the first LSD trip in history.

One afternoon in his laboratory while he was manipulating and crystallizing LSD-25, he had to interrupt his work because he began to feel strange sensations. That was when he realized that he had absorbed a small amount of this acid through his fingertips. But Hofmann was not satisfied with this small sensation and the next day he took a larger dose, it was then that he returned home on his bicycle and would experience what is known as the most famous LSD trip in history.
